It is said that it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness. In the same way, it is better to discover the hero within yourself instead of cursing yourself and the society for things that might be lacking.
Who is a hero? A hero is someone you look up to. A hero inspires you and makes you want to be better. Superman, Batman, Iron-man are all famous characters that have been idolized as hero’s but everyone has a personal hero they admire or look up to. For some, it might be a parent or an elder whereas for some it might be a friend or even a complete stranger.
No matters who your hero is, what matters is what you learn from them. A person who can recognize the hero within his/her own self is the one who will achieve great heights. It is necessary to realize that we are our own greatest strength and when we believe that there is something special in each one of us, that there is a hero within each one of us, the world will be a better place. The world will be free of misery and self-pity. Accepting yourself the way you are, with all your mistakes and flaws, might be the most difficult task ever but is also the most beneficial.
The youth of the society is so confused as they don’t know who to idolize or who to look up to. They are lost trying to find out their place in the world and their own identity. If the youth recognizes that each one of them has a hero within themselves, the society and our country can progress in ways that are unimaginable.
Human behavior is such that we forget to look at the abilities within ourselves in the process of admiring others and what they have. Instead of boosting our own confidence, we have a habit of demotivating ourselves. Instead of learning from our mistakes, we become scared to take new chances. You don’t have to be famous to be a hero. You don’t have to own fancy gadgets or fancy suits. You just have to recognize your own abilities and put them to use for your greater good and the overall development of the country and the world.
There is a hero within each one of us, what matters is perspective and what we choose to do with ourselves. We all have a hero within us, we just need to open our eyes and see.
